Arc/Rowan plans to build apartments for developmentally disabled adults

E-mail to a friend

At their May seminar, leaders of the Arc/Rowan will discuss plans to build two sets of apartments for adults with developmental disabilities.

The free monthly seminar takes place May 27, a Tuesday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hurley Room of Rowan Public Library on West Fisher St.

Jane Jackman, executive director of the Arc/Rowan, will talk about the local nonprofit's work with the Arc/NC to "build two sets of apartments for adults with development disabilities to live independently in our community."

This seminar will give people who might want to live in the apartments the chance to ask questions and learn about the application process.

The seminar free and open to the public. Teachers also can get continuing education credits.

If you have any questions or plan to attend the session, Arc/Rowan officials ask that you call the agency in advance at 704-637-1521.
